YOU make our care possible

Death often brings a financial burden, which is why Hospice Peterborough is dedicated to providing our programs and services – free of charge.

Generous donations from individuals, businesses and foundations make our care possible. Your support helps to ensure that we can continue to provide support to people in our community living with life-threatening illness or grieving the loss of a loved one.

Hospice Peterborough receives funding from the Ministry of Health and relies on our community to provide 43% of our total operating budget.

Please make YOUR donation today… YOU make our care possible

Your monthly gift can be made using a void cheque (withdrawn monthly from your account), post-dated cheques, VISA, AMEX or MasterCard.

6. Legacy Giving

As the name implies legacy giving allows you to plan future support to leave a bequest in your will. Your legacy gift is one the most thoughtful ways to leave a lasting gift to future generations.

There are many options to consider your support through a bequest, estate plan, annuity, charitable trust, RRSP/RRIFs, real estate and life insurance.

Your legacy can be arranged in the present, through an individual’s lawyer or adviser.

If you would like more information about leaving a Legacy gift to Hospice Peterborough please contact us.

Hospice Peterborough appreciates gifts of in-kind items. If you would like to donate in-kind gifts to Hospice Peterborough, please give us a call at 705-742-4042.

8. Donations in Lieu of Gifts

Many families choose to honour a special event like a birthday, anniversary or wedding by suggesting their guests make a donation to Hospice Peterborough in lieu of gifts. Hospice Peterborough will prepare special occasion cards with the included income tax receipt to acknowledge each gift. You will receive notice of all of the gifts we receive.
