Peterborough County Council Completes Pledge to Hospice Peterborough

Today Peterborough County Council presented Hospice Peterborough with a cheque for $175,000 to complete their generous pledge of $350,000 to the Every Moment Matters Campaign and the new Hospice Peterborough Care Centre.

“We are so grateful to Peterborough County Council and the residents of the County for their commitment to hospice care in our community. Their contribution to the Every Moment Matters Campaign and the Care Centre Project has helped make the dream of a hospice residence for Peterborough City and County a reality,” says Linda Sunderland, Executive Director, Hospice Peterborough.

Hospice Peterborough offers 25 programs and services free of charge to residents of all ages living in the communities of Asphodel-Norwood, Cavan Monaghan, City of Peterborough, Curve Lake First Nation, Douro Dummer, Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, Hiawatha First Nation, North Kawartha, Otonabee-South Monaghan, Selwyn, and Trent Lakes. Programs and services include palliative navigation in our community, a home support program, day program, caregiver support group, grief programs, family support, wellness programming and education and consultation support in the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, Northumberland and Peterborough Counties as well.
