Volunteer Training

If you would like to become a Hospice volunteer please contact Paula to talk more about your interest. Prior to each 10-week series, offered twice yearly (October and April), there is an orientation session to provide more information about what it means to be a Hospice Peterborough volunteer. This orientation is also valuable for people interested in working with our events and fundraising team who may not be interested in client support volunteering.

After the orientation session, you can contact Paula for a follow-up interview. If the training program seems like a good fit, we will invite you to take the training.

The entire training program consists of thirty hours of classes, discussions and hands-on experiences. These are all meant to prepare you for the challenges you may face as a Hospice volunteer.

The next volunteer orientation sessions will be held in the afternoon on Thursday’s, September 6th, 13th or 20th. Enrollment is limited. For more information or to register
