Coffee Time Together

Twice a month caregivers are invited to gather at Hospice to chat, learn, encourage, and support one another. A Hospice staff member facilitates this time together and topics of interest to caregivers will always be on the agenda.  Please call ahead before attending this group (705-742-4042).

2nd and 4th Fridays of each month
10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

Just for Kids

This workshop/group is offered periodically throughout the year. It provides an opportunity for children 6 – 14 years of age to meet with others who have a family member with a life threatening illness. Sometimes it’s the children who are forgotten in the confusion and sadness associated with the anticipated death of a loved one.

In this group kids will find a safe and comfortable place to talk, to be creative, and to learn how to cope with the impact of this illness in their lives. An experienced Music Therapist and Hospice volunteers work with the children in this group. Our families tell us how important this program was to their kids.

We have offered this program as a half-day workshop and also in a 4-week group format in order to meet community needs.

Please call and let us know if your children would benefit from such a group. We will arrange to set a time for a new session to start.
