Hospice care helps people
with life-threatening illness live at home as comfortably and as fully
as possible. The focus is on caring, not curing; on life, not death.
Hospice care also extends to family members by helping them to care for
their loved one and to care for themselves during times of grief.
Hospice Peterborough
serves people of all ages in the City and County of Peterborough who are living
with cancer or other advanced illnesses or grief.
Services include
professional support, volunteer support, various support groups and our
lending library. Client care staff co-ordinate the provision of
these services and link clients to related community services when
appropriate.
Hospice
volunteers are 'the hands and the heart' of Hospice, and provide
companionship, emotional support, and practical assistance to those who
request this support.
