Hospice Peterborough is offering an introductory orientation session in March to learn more about this unique opportunity to volunteer. Call to register to attend on Thursday, March 2nd or Wednesday, March 8. Following an interview process, you may then be invited to join the hospice volunteer training which will begin in April for 10 weeks (3 hours weekly in the evening). Yesterday pro boxer Cody Crowley was in town at Pizza Hut helping to support Hospice Peterborough in memory of Anita Blackbourn. Crowley was happy to meet his fans, sign autographs and help support the community he calls his home. Ten percent of sales from yesterday’s event at Pizza Hut on Lansdowne Street, and from sales at the George Street location, will be donated to Hospice Peterborough’s Every Moment Matters Campaign. The smiles keep coming for Hospice Peterborough as yesterday the local Tim Horton Owners revealed that their annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raised an amazing $40,121!
