Peterborough Healing Cycle Riders travel hundreds of kilometers…
The 2016 Healing Cycle Bike Ride on Sunday, June 26th drew many local cyclists to Caledon, Ontario.
A really hot day and strong winds couldn’t slow down the Peterborough team – 16 cyclists rode hundreds of kilometers, collectively raising over $13,000 for Hospice Peterborough, bringing their 4 year total to over $52,000. Matthew and David Newport, son and father, rode in the 100km category, taking 1st and 2nd spot, with Alan Barber and Mark Wickham also making the Top 10, and finishing 7th and 8th respectively.
This was the fourth year the Peterborough team of cyclists has participated with Alan Barber as team captain.
Hospice Peterborough would like to thank and recognize the tremendous efforts of the entire team – Alan Barber, David Cain, Silvia Cashmore, Janis Kelly, Anne Leavens, Robin Maughan, Bill and Betty Morris, David and Carla Newport, Matthew Newport, Jennifer Tiberio, Daniel Volman, Debbie Whalen, Mark Wickam, and Ken Yates.
Every dollar matters and every donation will help meet the needs of our community.
Your gift of time, energy and motion moves us kilometers closer to achieve our goals.
